Foundations Debate LD
The LD portion of the Foundations Debate Camp will attempt to equip students with the tools that they need to be successful at any level of competition in front of any sort of judge. We will endeavor, throughout the institute, to help our students become rhetorically persuasive, philosophically literate, and logically compelling. Students will have the opportunity to work with the staff both one on one, and in the traditional lab environment on the full range of skills from research and case writing to in-round performance. Topics from philosophy to in round strategy will be covered in interactive lectures with plenty of time for students to ask questions and engage the instructors. On top of all this, the camp will offer a series of practice rounds, culminating in an end of camp tournament designed to give students the opportunity to put what they have learned into practice and to learn form a wide range of critics.
